The second issue of Duvu emphasized creative experimentation through editorials, long-form features, and multimedia extensions.
A focus on play, perspective, and identity, aimed to invite a slower, more reflective form of consumption.
BACK TO YOUR ROOTS (with Juliana Toohey)
For this issue, I collaborated with Juliana Toohey on a two-page editorial spread titled Back to Your Roots.
The concept was centered around themes of childhood nostalgia and grounded joy, captured through imagery of reconnecting with simple pleasures like climbing trees, playing with a yo-yo, and even just blowing bubble gum... relishing carefree moments.
In addition to styling and photography, we also included a short article reflecting on the emotional significance of returning to playful, unstructured time. A short-form video accompanied the spread to extend the story across mediums and further deepen the tone and message.
